Starter is not “the full version of the automated scan”. It is a human-led consultation that uses the scan as its starting point. The founder reads the scan personally, cross-references it with the Citation Reality data from Perplexity, and writes a prioritized action plan with 20-40 rewrite tasks - each tied to a specific query, a specific sub-intent gap, and a specific page. Every task is Jira-ready and explains what to change, why, and how much it should move the score.
You also get a platform playbook for Shopify, WooCommerce, or Prestashop if you run e-commerce (where to put structured data, how to handle product pages, what the platform blocks by default), a competitor view showing the top domains cited instead of you for your monitoring queries, one implementation call to walk through the plan, and one follow-up rescan 2-4 weeks after the initial audit to measure delta.
Why it is capped at 4 slots per month: because every engagement eats several hours of personal work. We deliberately refuse to scale this into a self-serve product - if we did, the review quality would collapse. Will Starter guarantee more citations in ChatGPT or Perplexity?
No. Anyone who guarantees AI citations is selling confidence they do not have. We ran the research ourselves - our original 26-check technical score did not predict citations (r=0.009). The follow-up study identified content relevance as the strongest predictor (AUC 0.915). That finding drove our pivot. What Starter gives you is a prioritized action plan based on that signal. Whether applying the plan produces a specific lift is still something we are measuring, including on our own site.

Yes. The audit works for websites in any language and any country. The Content Relevance Score measures query-content match using multilingual embeddings, and the 20 monitoring queries are generated in the primary language of your niche.
What AI search engines does this cover?
The Content Relevance Score measures signals that apply across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, and Claude. The Citation Reality component (paid only) specifically monitors Perplexity via their API, because it is the one platform with a usable public API for citation verification. Multi-platform monitoring is on the roadmap.
How long does the audit take?
The Free audit completes in a few minutes: crawl takes 1-2 minutes, query generation takes under a minute, and the full content relevance analysis takes 2-5 minutes depending on site size. The Starter consultation takes 24-48 hours for the first human-reviewed report and 5-7 days for the full plan with implementation call.
What happened to the old 26-check scoring model?
It is still in the pipeline, but as one subcomponent called Technical Health with a 15-20% weight. We rebuilt the product after our own research showed that the 26-check score alone did not predict citations (r=0.009). The current score is dominated by content relevance signals (Query Coverage, Content Depth, Sub-Intent Coverage) which carry 65-80% of the weight.
