LLM SEO Check Pricing Guide: Free Audit and Starter Consultation

This is a pricing guide for our own tool, so bias warning: we run LLM SEO Check. We will try to be honest about what each tier actually gives you and why we priced it the way we did.

LLM SEO Check audits websites for AI search visibility through a Content Relevance Score - five components that measure whether your content answers the questions your audience is actually asking AI engines. There are two tiers: a free automated audit and a €149 one-time Starter consultation with a human expert.

The Honest Caveat First

We ran a study on 441 domains and 14,550 domain-query pairs testing whether our original 26-check technical readiness score predicted actual AI citations. Result: r = 0.009, p = 0.849. Statistically zero. The technical score alone did not predict whether Perplexity or ChatGPT would cite a site.

The follow-up study told us what did predict citations: content relevance. Same-topic pages were cited 62x more often than cross-topic pages. A classifier built on BM25 plus embedding similarity reached AUC 0.915. That is the signal our current score is built around. The 26 technical checks are still in the pipeline, but they now act as one subcomponent (Technical Health) with a 15-20% weight, not the whole story.

We have not yet published a before/after case showing that applying our recommendations raises a real site's citation rate - that experiment is running on our own site right now. Until then, here is what we can honestly say: the score measures the signal with the strongest empirical support so far. That is not the same as a guarantee, and the pricing below reflects that honesty.

Free Tier: Full Content Relevance Audit

No credit card, no account creation. Enter your URL, email, and niche. The system crawls up to 50 pages, generates 20 monitoring queries from your niche, and lets you edit or replace any of them before analysis runs. Analysis takes a few minutes. You get the full four-component score (Query Coverage, Content Depth, Sub-Intent Coverage, Technical Health) with per-query breakdowns and actionable gaps.

This is not a teaser. We deliberately do not gate core value behind a paywall. The reasoning: the diagnostic itself is easy to replicate, and a good one in the wild generates word of mouth faster than a blurred-checks landing page. The thing worth paying for is the human expertise on top, not the automated report.

What the free tier is good for: A full diagnostic. Most sites surface 3-5 significant content gaps and 2-3 technical blockers on their first scan. You can act on the report immediately without upgrading.

What the free tier does not include: Citation Reality (the Perplexity API check, which costs money per query). Human review. Rewrite task prioritization from an expert. Platform playbooks. Follow-up rescan after you implement fixes.

Starter (€149 One-Time): the Human Consultation

Starter is not “the full version of the automated scan”. It is a human-led consultation that uses the scan as its starting point. We chose this model deliberately: an automated report can tell you what is broken. It cannot tell you which three things to do first given your team's bandwidth, your CMS, your content budget, and your competitive situation. That is what the Starter consultation does.

Here is what €149 actually buys you:

• Everything in the free scan, plus Citation Reality via Perplexity (20-30 monitoring queries, verified against your site content to filter false positives).
• A human expert review within 24-48 hours. The founder reads the scan personally, cross-references it with the monitoring queries, and writes a prioritized action plan.
• 20-40 prioritized rewrite tasks. Each task has context: which query it addresses, which sub-intent is missing, which page to edit or create, and what the rewrite should look like. These are Jira-ready items your team (or you) can execute.
• Platform playbook for Shopify, WooCommerce, or Prestashop if you run e-commerce - where to put structured data, how to handle product pages, what the platform blocks by default.
• Competitor view: the top domains currently cited instead of you for each monitoring query, with a short analysis of what they are doing differently.
• One implementation call to walk through the plan and answer questions.
• One follow-up rescan 2-4 weeks after the initial audit to measure delta.
• PDF executive report with root cause analysis, designed so you can hand it to a developer or agency and say “fix these”.

Is it worth €149? If your site has genuine content-strategy gaps and you want a human expert to help you prioritize without committing to a multi-month retainer, yes. If your site is already deeply optimized for your target queries and you just want automated monitoring, no - the free scan will give you most of what you need.

Limited slots per month. Starter is high-touch. We run a limited number of consultations per month so we can review each site properly. The /pricing page shows current slot availability.

How to buy: Run the free scan first. Review the results. If the content gaps look relevant and you want a human walk-through, click “Book Starter consultation” or email us with your scan ID. We reply personally with an honest assessment of whether Starter will help, and decline the engagement if we think it will not.

What We Do Not Sell

Honesty about what this tool is not:

• No guarantees on citation rate. Anyone who tells you they can guarantee AI citations is selling confidence they do not have. Our own research showed that even technical optimization alone does not predict citations. We can tell you where your content-relevance gaps are, but we cannot promise that closing them produces a specific lift.
• No done-for-you retainer service. We are a diagnostic plus implementation guidance, not a managed GEO service. If you need someone to execute the rewrites for you, Starter is not the right offer - look at agencies that specialize in managed GEO (LightSite, for example).
• No ongoing monthly monitoring tier right now. We are currently evaluating whether a monitoring subscription makes sense at all. Until we have a clear, honest answer, we are not selling it. Run a fresh free scan whenever you want to recheck.
• No self-serve “upgrade button” for Starter. Starter requires a conversation. That is the point - it is consulting, not a SaaS subscription.

How This Compares to Alternatives

The AI search readiness market is still small. Honest comparison:

• Otterly.ai (from ~$49/mo) - focused on GEO tracking, Semrush partnership. Stronger on ongoing monitoring, weaker on content relevance diagnosis. Different tool for a different job.
• LightSite.ai - managed service, not a self-serve tool. They do the optimization for you. Significantly more expensive than our €149. Good if you want someone else to handle it and you have the budget for retainer-based delivery.
• Manual audit - free, if your time is free. Check robots.txt, test in Google Rich Results, run Lighthouse, manually query Perplexity with your top questions. Takes a few hours per site. Our free scan does the automated part in two minutes and adds the content relevance layer that manual audits typically miss.
• Enterprise SEO suites (Conductor, Botify) - $1,000+/mo range. They are adding AI search features, but it is a small piece of a much larger (and more expensive) platform. Wrong fit for SMB.

Our differentiator is the free full content relevance audit. No other tool we have seen measures query-content relevance with sub-intent decomposition at this depth without a paywall. Whether the human-led Starter consultation is worth €149 depends on whether you need a prioritization and implementation partner or just a diagnostic.
